Event Description:
5k walk, 5k run, 10k run
A strand of clean, hard packed sand 100 yards wide stretches from the cliffs of Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain to the Nehalem River. Cape Lookout to the south and Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain to the north provide inspiring vistas going down and coming back. The runs, which are entirely on the beach, begin at the base of Laneda Avenue in Manzanita and proceed south towards the jetty then return to the starting point for a total of 3.1 miles (5k) or 6.2 miles (10k). The walk starts at the same point and proceeds 1.55 miles down the beach before turning back to the starting point for a total walk of 3.1 miles (5k). |
